Modernlifeisfast-paced,nodoubtaboutthat,that'sprobablyatthecoreofweight-gain.We,asasociety,haslostthetimetostopandsmelltheroses.Instead,wesitatourdesks,scribblingawaylikeIamdoingnow,alwayscatchinguptothenewestassignments,alwaystryingtooutdoourselves,atnobody'sexpensebutourown.It'snowonderthatdeathduetoheartfailure,liverdamage,kidneyfailureandrespiratoryproblemsareup.We'vesacrificedourownhealthforafuturethat,withoutacleanhealthbill,wejustmightnothave.Lifemustloveirony.   Theproblemformostpeopleisthatagoodhealthtakesinvestmentsintheformoftimeandenergy,investmentsthattheyjustmaynothave.Therecommendedamountofcardiovascularexerciseis45minaday,askanybodyintheirlastyearofhighschooltospare45minadaydoingsomethingotherthancrammingandthey'llsmackyouoverthehead.Forthoseintheworkplace,thesituationisnobetter.Deadlinescomeatyouatthespeedoflight,whilethehighemploymentratestillhangsoveryourheadliketheSwordofDamocles.Timeisthemostpreciousassetanyhumancanpossiblyhopetoown,yetatoftentimes,lifegetsthebetterofus,suchthatourtimeissurrenderedtoandforthoseholdingpower,money,orournextgrade.Buttimeshouldnotbeanexcusefortheabsenceofexercise.Nobodyisbusyallthetime.Itisimportanttoworkwhennecessary,andatthosetimes,exercisetimemaybecutbackorwhollyeliminated.However,itisalwayspossibletofindthatextrafewminutestostretchorplaysomeball.   Toolittleexercisefindsyouinthestateofthecurrentglobaleconomy,immobile,overweightandstrugglingtogetbackonitsfeet.Thisislife-threateningandwillcomebacktohauntyou.Soinsteadoftakingthebustoschool,rideabusnexttime.Insteadofusingtheelevator,takethestairs.Insteadoffinishingonemorelevelonthatvideogame,gojogamile,you'llsleepbetter.   Ofcourse,thatisnottosaythatyoushouldbeefuplikeMr.America.Therearetwomajorformsofexercise,aerobicandanaerobicexercise.Anaerobicexercisetrainsstrength,thisiswhatbuildsthoseimpressivebicepsandtriceps,unfortunately,theydonothingforyourhealth.Toomuchanaerobicexerciseleadstocardiachypertrophy,whichisenlargementoftheheartduetotheincreasesstressestowhichitisexposed.Thismakestheheartbiggerbutmorefragile,butcanleadtoheartdisease.Aerobicexercise,ontheotherhand,cannotgetanyhealthier.Ittrainstherespiratoryandcardiovascularsystem,andindirectlybenefitsmostorgansofthebody.Itisworthnotingthatshortoftearingamuscleorcollapsingfromexhaustion,youcanneverhavetoomuchaerobicexercise.Moreexercisecanonlymakeyouhealthier.
